Our founder is Mrs.Monique C. Gosling. Born and raised in the Midwest. Monique is a woman of God and dedicated wife. She currently resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
The excitement Mrs. Gosling shares is contagious. The passion she has for her work is often times described as simply incredible. It is this passion and excitement that inspired Reading 4 Our Future. Mrs. Gosling founded R4OF because at a young age she was exposed to the joy of reading by her grandfather, Dr. B. P. Bernard. He, like Monique, was an advocate for reading. Dr. Bernard understood how reading could change one’s life. He spent the majority of his time watching the news, learning seven languages fluently, and reading books of all kinds. Passing his quest for knowledge on to Mrs. Gosling he always reminded her of the importance of reading for her future and how it opens doors to prosperity and freedom. On March 15, 2015, two days after her birthday, the man who inspired Monique’s dream of increasing literacy went to eternal rest. However, his spirit lives on through Monique and R4OF.
Inspired by the ambition of her grandfather, Monique went on to obtain her B.S. in Health Science from Andrews University. She also completed her M.A. in Teaching from Belmont University and continued on to earn her M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction from Concordia University. Additionally, Mrs. Gosling earned her Principle Licensure from the McNeil Foundation. As a leader in her community, Mrs. Gosling is a member of the National Society of Leadership & Success as well as the recipient of the Texas A&M Commerce National Engaged Leader award. In her spare time, Monique enjoys spending time with her husband and family, traveling, cooking, and random other things.
