As many of you heard through social media,news, and word of mouth that once again Haiti has been struck with devastation. This time it’s by a hurricane. The hurricane came through this past Monday and caused some serious damages, especially to Les Cayes. As of Thursday the death toll has risen to 339. Let’s not forget that Haiti is still recovering from the earthquake that hit them in 2010 and killing over 9,000 people. Haiti is in need of our help once more.
I had the honor of representing as Mrs.Les Cayes in this year Haiti International Pageant 2016 and will proudly represent that city once more in 2017. It brings me great sadness to know that my dear city was hit very hard and now many of the people are without homes. The devastation was so great that many are on the street trying to put their lives back together with the little that they have.We are reaching out to all those that are able to help make a difference in helping out Les Cayes recover.
The organization will be collecting the following toiletries: wash clothes,toothpaste, toothbrush, and soap. These items will be placed in a nice bag with a word of encouragement to be given to the people of Les Cayes. Please note that the organization will be personally delivering these items to the people. We want to make sure that the families of Les Cayes receive the very things that we take for granted daily .
